Accessibility Professionals Giving back

Accessibility Professionals believes in supporting organizations that help vulnerable communities.
Globally, Accessibility Professionals supports Sleeping Children Around the World, 100% charitable global community of volunteers & partners transforming the lives of over 1.5 million children in developing countries by providing bed kits for a good night’s sleep. Each donated bed kit consists of a mat or mattress, pillow, sheet, blanket, mosquito net, clothes outfit, towel and school supplies. Bedkit contents vary from country to country depending upon local needs.
Locally, Accessibility Professionals supports the David Busby Centre, a community not-for-profit organization that works to improve conditions for individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

At Christmas time our whole team contributes to the Senior Wish Association’s Christmas Wish program, Paul and Val Holt met our pooled contributions so we could “adopt” seniors to make sure those spending Christmas in long term care or in the hospital without family close by get a special package of gifts. In 2019 we raised enough funds to surprise 10 seniors with Christmas packages.

Other organizations that Accessibility Professionals has supported in 2019:

  • Doctors without Borders – Delivering care where needs are greatest
  • Habitat for Humanity – We bring communities together to help families build strength, stability and independence through affordable home ownership
  • Pancreatic Cancer Canada – At Pancreatic Cancer Canada we are dedicated to fighting the world’s toughest cancer.
  • The Couchiching Conservancy – Protecting Nature for current and future generations
“We are caring professionals, passionate about helping you make informed choices on accessible home products and empowering you to live independently.”
